Have a guitar that could do with a little tlc? At Cody's Guitars, we're proud to offer a wide range of repairs and services to suit your needs. Below is our list of standard services, however, if you don't find what you're looking for, get in touch.
Restring (from £15)
Sometimes all your guitar needs it a new set of strings to keep it going. This service starts from £15 and can generally be done while you wait.
In Depth Restring (from £30)
When simply replacing the strings isn't going to cut it, it's time to give your prized instrument a little more love. This service not only involves replacing the old strings but also includes polishing the frets, cleaning the fretboard and finish, along with oiling the tuners and spraying the electrics.
Set-up (from £60)
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting to grips. Playing the guitar is much more enjoyable when it's set-up correctly. Starting off where the In Depth Resting finished off, a set-up will also include:
- Levelling the frets (where applicable)
- Adjusting the truss rod
- Setting the string height
- Cutting nut slots
- Setting pickup heights
- Servicing the electrics and tuners
When booking a guitar in for a set-up, you'll receive a worksheet explaining what work has been carried out, any comments about what might be needed in the future and a before & after list of specs.
Pickup Fitting (from £20)
We've all wanted to experiment with new tones from time to time and what better way to do that, then trying new pickups in your guitar. With years of experience fitting pickups, Cody's Guitars would be more than happy to give advice on what might best suit your needs. We can even drill out and install pickups on acoustics!
Replacing a Swtich or Potentiometer (from £30)
If you have a guitar that needs a new switch or pot, get in touch. The problem won't sort itself!
Truss Rod Tweak (from £5)
We've all had it, your guitar is playing like better than ever, but it buzzes like crazy! Most of the time it's the case that all it needs is a straight forward truss rod adjustment.
Refretting (from £120)
When there's nothing else to dress, or you just want to try something different. Replacing the frets on your guitar breathes new life into it. For more information on this process, please get in touch.
Terms & Conditions
All repair & servicing work comes with a 6 month warranty (unless otherwise discussed). Prices are indications of the fee charged, to carry out the work on your guitar and will vary depending on circumstances. They also don't include the cost or materials such as strings and parts.
