A masterclass in aged authenticity, this 2021 Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster Heavy Relic delivers the look, feel, and soul of a well-travelled vintage instrument, without the six-decade wait.

Built by Fender's elite Corona craftsmen, the Heavy Relic treatment goes beyond cosmetics. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish has been carefully distressed to replicate decades of honest wear, checking, buckle rash, fret wear, and all while the maple neck has been hand-shaped to a comfortable '60s-style oval "C" profile, perfect for long sessions and effortless playability. A 4-ply tortoise shell pickguard completes the vintage aesthetic beautifully.

The 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard sits in a sweet spot between vintage feel and modern playability, paired with vintage-upgrade fretwire for a satisfying, broken-in response under the fingers. Tonally, the Custom Shop 1960s Strat pickups deliver that glassy, bell-like '60s Stratocaster character, routed through modern 5-way switching for the full palette of classic Strat voices.

About Us

About Us

Welcome to Cody’s Guitars, where passion, craftsmanship, and decades of musical experience come together. Founded in 2017, our shop is built on nearly 20 years in the musical retail industry, and a lifelong love for guitars and the people who play them.

Our Story

Cody’s Guitars began with a simple mission: to create a space where musicians of all levels feel supported, inspired, and genuinely taken care of. After spending almost two decades working hands-on in the industry, we wanted to build something that focused on quality, honesty, and real musical connection. What started as a small idea quickly grew into a trusted local hub for players seeking gear, guidance, and a friendly place to talk shop.

What We Do

We specialise in guitars, pedals, and amplifiers, offering a curated range chosen for tone, reliability, and feel. Whether you’re hunting for your first guitar, upgrading your rig, or chasing that one perfect sound, we’re here to help you find the right match.

Alongside retail, we also provide guitar lessons, tailored for beginners, seasoned players, and everyone in between. Our teaching approach is patient, practical, and focused on helping you grow at your own pace.

Our Values

  • High Standards: From the gear we sell to the services we offer, quality is non-negotiable.
  • Expertise: With nearly two decades of industry experience, we know our craft inside out.
  • Community: We’re here for musicians — to support, encourage, and share the joy of playing.
  • Integrity: Honest advice, fair prices, and genuine care for every customer who walks through the door.
  • Why We’re Different

At Cody’s Guitars, we pride ourselves on a high standard of work in everything we do. We take time with each customer, making sure you leave not just with the right gear, but with the confidence and excitement to play it. This isn’t just a shop — it’s a place where musicians can grow, connect, and feel at home.
