Few guitars capture the spirit of the early '60s quite like a well-worn Surf Green Stratocaster, and this 2022 Fender Custom Shop 1964 Stratocaster Relic does exactly that - with a level of detail and craftsmanship that only the Custom Shop can deliver.

Built on a sort-for lightweight alder body, this example has been finished in Flashcoat Lacquer - a thin, resonance-friendly coating that allows the wood to breathe and age naturally - and aged to a beautifully faded Surf Green that evokes decades of honest use. The Relic treatment extends to the back of the neck, which has been heavily reliced for that unmistakable broken-in feel from the first moment you pick it up.

The quartersawn maple neck is shaped to a comfortable '63-style "C" profile and topped with a sort-for dark rosewood fretboard at a 9.5" radius - a modern-friendly spec that pairs perfectly with the narrow tall 6105 frets for effortless bending and precise intonation. Under the hood, a set of handwound '64 Strat pickups deliver authentic vintage tone, wired to a POMO Strat Fat 50's circuit for enhanced warmth and clarity across all five positions.

Condition – Excellent

This guitar is in excellent pre-owned condition. Please note the backplate is missing. It is supplied with the original Fender Custom Shop case and all accessories as shown in the photos - please refer to the images for a full overview of included items.

About Us

About Us

Welcome to Cody’s Guitars, where passion, craftsmanship, and decades of musical experience come together. Founded in 2017, our shop is built on nearly 20 years in the musical retail industry, and a lifelong love for guitars and the people who play them.

Our Story

Cody’s Guitars began with a simple mission: to create a space where musicians of all levels feel supported, inspired, and genuinely taken care of. After spending almost two decades working hands-on in the industry, we wanted to build something that focused on quality, honesty, and real musical connection. What started as a small idea quickly grew into a trusted local hub for players seeking gear, guidance, and a friendly place to talk shop.

What We Do

We specialise in guitars, pedals, and amplifiers, offering a curated range chosen for tone, reliability, and feel. Whether you’re hunting for your first guitar, upgrading your rig, or chasing that one perfect sound, we’re here to help you find the right match.

Alongside retail, we also provide guitar lessons, tailored for beginners, seasoned players, and everyone in between. Our teaching approach is patient, practical, and focused on helping you grow at your own pace.

Our Values

  • High Standards: From the gear we sell to the services we offer, quality is non-negotiable.
  • Expertise: With nearly two decades of industry experience, we know our craft inside out.
  • Community: We’re here for musicians — to support, encourage, and share the joy of playing.
  • Integrity: Honest advice, fair prices, and genuine care for every customer who walks through the door.
  • Why We’re Different

At Cody’s Guitars, we pride ourselves on a high standard of work in everything we do. We take time with each customer, making sure you leave not just with the right gear, but with the confidence and excitement to play it. This isn’t just a shop — it’s a place where musicians can grow, connect, and feel at home.
