Condition & Provenance

Presented in Good Condition and supplied with a Modern Road Runner Case - this clean example of a Vintage Gibson had only light work to keep it looking and playing its best. Some of these changes include:

  • Pro-Refret w/Narrow Tall Wire (.095" x .052") - originals retained
  • Replacement Nut (Bone) - original retained
  • 2 Small Finish Touch Ups Near Jack Plate & Side of Headstock
  • Mojo Axe Aged Compensated Wraparound Bridge

A full in-house evaluation and set-up has been carried out - this included confirming all parts for good working order and originality. The guitar is currently set-up with D'Addario 10-46 and feels very nice to play.

The Original Cherry finish has faded on the front and shows lovely subtle lacquer checking throughout, along with small scuffs, scratches and dents commensurate with age. The Tortoise Shell Pickguard has warped slightly over time but looks to be in good shape. The Original Tuners function smoothly with very little slack. The Original CTS Pots also function nicely and are dated to 1960 (134 6006). One of the biggest selling points of an Original Les Paul Junior is the P-90, this is a full sounding pickup with a nice amount of bite, pumping out 8.20k - perfect for pushing the front end of a tube amp.

About Us

About Us

Welcome to Cody’s Guitars, where passion, craftsmanship, and decades of musical experience come together. Founded in 2017, our shop is built on nearly 20 years in the musical retail industry, and a lifelong love for guitars and the people who play them.

Our Story

Cody’s Guitars began with a simple mission: to create a space where musicians of all levels feel supported, inspired, and genuinely taken care of. After spending almost two decades working hands-on in the industry, we wanted to build something that focused on quality, honesty, and real musical connection. What started as a small idea quickly grew into a trusted local hub for players seeking gear, guidance, and a friendly place to talk shop.

What We Do

We specialise in guitars, pedals, and amplifiers, offering a curated range chosen for tone, reliability, and feel. Whether you’re hunting for your first guitar, upgrading your rig, or chasing that one perfect sound, we’re here to help you find the right match.

Alongside retail, we also provide guitar lessons, tailored for beginners, seasoned players, and everyone in between. Our teaching approach is patient, practical, and focused on helping you grow at your own pace.

Our Values

  • High Standards: From the gear we sell to the services we offer, quality is non-negotiable.
  • Expertise: With nearly two decades of industry experience, we know our craft inside out.
  • Community: We’re here for musicians — to support, encourage, and share the joy of playing.
  • Integrity: Honest advice, fair prices, and genuine care for every customer who walks through the door.
  • Why We’re Different

At Cody’s Guitars, we pride ourselves on a high standard of work in everything we do. We take time with each customer, making sure you leave not just with the right gear, but with the confidence and excitement to play it. This isn’t just a shop — it’s a place where musicians can grow, connect, and feel at home.
