Gibson Melody Maker D with Vibrola 1967 - Pelham Blue
Gibson Melody Maker D with Vibrola 1967 - Pelham Blue
Couldn't load pickup availability
A nice, clean example of a late-60's Melody Maker D, showing all the hallmarks you'd expect of a vintage Gibson. The original nitrocellulose lacquer has checked and started to yellow - turning the original Pelham Blue finish to a green hue. Rare to see these with natural headstock.
The factory Vibrola arm not only looks cool, but stays in tune well too. A duo of Gibson single coil pickups have good output and showcases the open tone the Melody Maker offers. The original CTS pots date to 1966. The original frets are getting low and show some pitting, however the guitar plays cleanly across the neck and intonates correctly.
